Meeting Between Minister of Foreign Affairs Varsen Aghabekian Shahin and Slovak Ambassador Jozef Hudec in Ramallah
A meeting was held today in Ramallah between H. E. Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine, and H. E. Dr. Jozef Hudec, non-resident Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the State of Palestine.
The discussion focused on the current situation in the region, the continuation of international efforts to maintain the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and the need for practical steps to end the occupation and achieve justice for the Palestinian people. Minister Shahin praised Slovakia’s longstanding support and its humanitarian engagement in favor of Palestine.
Both sides emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The Minister also highlighted the need to safeguard freedom of worship and access to holy sites in Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
Ambassador Hudec reaffirmed Slovakia’s commitment to the two-state solution and expressed interest in further developing relations based on mutual respect and adherence to international law.
