The Embassy of the State of Palestine in the Slovak Republic extends its sincere gratitude to the Government of the Slovak Republic for voting in favour of the resolution on endursment of the New York the New York Declaration on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 12 September 2025.

This landmark resolution, supported by 142 Member States, sets out a concrete and timebound roadmap to achieve a just and lasting peace. The New York Declaration calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the release of hostages, the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine, as well as measures to ensure collective security and regional stability.

By casting its vote in favour, Slovakia joined the overwhelming majority of the international community in reaffirming commitment to the two-State solution, where Palestine and Israel live side by side in peace, security, and mutual recognition.

The Palestinian people deeply value this expression of solidarity and support. We believe that Slovakia’s vote reflects its dedication to the principles of international law, human rights, and the pursuit of peace through diplomacy.

The Embassy remains committed to strengthening ties between the Slovak Republic and the State of Palestine and to working together for a future rooted in justice, dignity, and freedom for all peoples.
